Privacy Policy
How decost.ai handles website requests, contact inquiries, and inputs used with its browser-based production AI cost tools.
01 / Scope
This policy covers the public decost.ai website.
It covers visits to this site, use of the public tools, contact-form submissions, and email sent to decost.ai. A paid consulting engagement requires separate terms and data-handling instructions before decost.ai receives client invoices, traces, credentials, or other confidential data.
02 / Tool inputs
Your browser handles tool inputs.
The Cost-per-Outcome Calculator and Inference Benchmark Planner calculate results in your browser. The AI Spend Snapshot reads CSV files in your browser. The current site code does not send scenario values, uploaded file names, CSV contents, or generated reports to decost.ai or an analytics provider.
Imports and exports use local browser file functions. Values remain in the current page session unless you download a file. Loading a tool page still sends an ordinary web request to the hosting provider.
03 / Information collected
The site receives contact details and ordinary request data.
Contact inquiries
The contact form asks for your name, reply email, company, approximate monthly AI or GPU spend range, and the decision you need to make. If delivery succeeds, the form sends those fields to the decost.ai inbox through Resend. Direct email may include any information you choose to send.
Website requests
Vercel hosts the site and may process request information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser or device details, requested path, timestamp, and response status. decost.ai uses this service to deliver and protect the site.
Audience measurement
When Vercel Web Analytics is enabled for the production project, it records anonymous page views and a small set of defined actions. A record may include the page path, timestamp, referrer, approximate geography, device type, browser, and operating system. decost.ai removes query strings and page fragments before analytics transmission.
04 / Use
decost.ai uses collected information for defined business purposes.
- Respond to an inquiry and assess whether a consulting engagement fits.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site.
- Understand aggregate page use and movement between guides, tools, and contact paths.
- Prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions.
- Maintain business records and comply with legal obligations.
decost.ai does not sell personal information or use contact inquiries for third-party advertising.
05 / Service providers
Two providers support the current public site.
- Vercel hosts and delivers the website, processes ordinary request data, and provides privacy-focused Web Analytics when that feature is enabled.
- Resend processes a contact submission when the form accepts it for delivery.
decost.ai may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or during a business transfer. Service providers receive information needed to perform their contracted functions.
06 / Retention
Contact records have no fixed deletion schedule yet.
decost.ai retains contact inquiries and related email as needed to respond, assess potential work, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by emailing hi@decost.ai. Legal, security, backup, and recordkeeping requirements may limit or delay deletion.
Vercel and Resend retain service data under their own account settings and policies.
08 / Your choices
You can request access, correction, or deletion.
Email hi@decost.ai to ask about personal information submitted through the contact form or email, or to request access, correction, or deletion. decost.ai may need to verify your identity and may retain records when law or a legitimate business need requires it.
09 / Security
Limit what you send through the public contact form.
Do not send invoices, production traces, credentials, personal customer data, or other confidential material through the public form. If an engagement requires detailed evidence, decost.ai will agree on an appropriate transfer method and retention plan first. No internet transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
10 / Changes and contact
Policy changes will appear on this page.
The effective date will change when decost.ai makes a material update. Direct privacy questions and requests to hi@decost.ai.
